As I was driving home from the grocery store, I was struck with such as vision of rustic beauty that I had to stop and take a gander. Now I'm no picker, but when I saw this little rocking chair it cried out to me. So, I brought'er home, washed'er up, and gave'er a safe place to stay til' I could make a pretty woman out of her. I was particularly inspired by the metalwork under the arm of the chair, so after I get back from my vaca in the dacks I'll be priming and painting this little mama.
Here's what I've done so far:
First, I stripped off all the batting and fabric, til only the supports were showing. |
Then, I pulled out all the old nails and washed it with Murphy's Oil Soap. |
